Children who come to the auditions will be asked to match pitches and rhythms and sing a short selection, such as "My Country, 'Tis of Thee" or "Happy Birthday." Children are not required to bring a prepared solo, but we will be glad to hear them if they choose to do so. Be at the stage in Market Square at 5:00 PM on Saturday. 2. We will do some simple warmups, then teach them a short melodic phrase which they will then sing in the group. We will also ask them to repeat some simple rhythmic patterns and melodic intervals.
