Blessing of the Animals
Blessing of the Animals, Sunday, October 1 on the steps in front of Duke Chapel
2:15 Rehearsal and order for processional
3:00 Service begins (usually lasts 1 hour)
DCC sings at the beginning of the service.
You may bring your animals, but someone else will need to hold your pet while you are singing! After we sing, we will sit on the grass just to the right of the main chapel steps, or you may sit with your family for the remainder of the service. Please bring a blanket or folding chair, as there will be limited seating available.
Please remember what to wear (see uniform information).
There is parking behind Duke Chapel, in front of the Bryan Center or in the Parking Deck (usually $2/hour) Your parent may also drop you off in front of the Chapel and then go find parking. If they are NOT attending the service, make sure there is someone at the Chapel to pick you up by 3:30.

New Uniforms
Durham Children's Choir Uniform
Please take all the parts of your uniform out of the bags when you get home, try them on and make sure they are ironed for Sunday. Keep them ALL TOGETHER on hangers in your closet, preferably in a plastic dry cleaners bag or garment bag. (The black ties like to escape, so make sure you keep them with the rest of the outfit!) If something does not fit, please bring the item to rehearsal next week, and we'll see about exchanges. This uniform will be known as your formal attire; the red polo and black pants is your casual attire.
Reminder: boys must wear black dress shoes and black socks; girls should wear natural colored nylons and black flats.
You'll notice that the red vests have not arrived. As soon as they come in, we'll have the logo sewn on and then distribute them. Please wear your red polo shirt with the new black pants or skirt on Sunday.
The total cost for your new uniform is $50. Please bring your payment to next week's rehearsal if possible. Checks are made payable to Durham Children's Choir or DCC. If you prefer to mail your payment, please send checks to:
Scott Hill
117 Landsbury Dr.
Durham, NC 27707
Scholarships are available by contacting me or Mrs. Byers.
